A Sticky End

The sixth (and latest) James Lear novel completes the Mitch Mitchell trilogy with my attempt at a classic ‘closed room’ mystery. Mitch arrives in London for what he hopes will be a raunchy reunion with Morgan, only to discover his host in a state of nervous collapse and a dead body in his bathroom. Mitch sets about finding the culprit, dogged by the suspicion that it may be the man he loves. ‘Lear is such a skilled crime writer and eroticist that, with him at the helm, the two genres go together like arsenic and old lace.’ David McGillivray, QX
